Hi, I'm Alex,

I've spent most of my life caring for animals and all of it adoring them. I'm delighted to offer professional, patient and understanding pet services for your characterful creatures - dog walking, pet sitting and check-ins for anxious, senior, moderately reactive, rescue and generally rambunctious pets.
(Perfectly behaved friends are welcome too!)
Pet care services
Solo and household-only walks with no obligation for repeat bookings. Give your pup the chance to stretch their legs during your work day, or take an evening to yourself while I tire them out!
Ranging from 4 hours a day to exclusive extended care, I'll go through every detail of their routine and I'll make sure they have as much normality as possible in your absence. Walks and hikes, play, feeding, medication, litter tray changes, that little ritual they have before dinner - everything you can think of will be taken care of, with lots of love to boot.

Meet & Greets
The most important step of any care is to make sure both you and your pet are comfortable with me - that's why I will always arrange as many zero-obligation meet and greets as you feel you need. Not every carer is the best fit for every pet, and that's okay! Your pet's comfort is my first priority, always.
I always recommend first meets to be where the pet lives as this is where they're most comfortable. If you feel a different arrangement may work better, just let me know and I'm happy to work with you to sort something out.
During the meet and greet:
- I'll meet your pets so they can start to familiarise themselves with me
- We'll discuss what you and your pets need from me, including medication, routine and the strange little quirks I absolutely love to learn about (don't worry - this will all be written down in later forms too)
- If you're seeking care that includes dog walking, we'll also go on a quick trial walk or arrange one for a future date to make sure everyone's happy
- At the end of the meet we can discuss whether I'm right for you and your pet and, if you're happy, arrange onboarding for you!

Alex looked after our two cats for a week while we were abroad and they were fantastic! We got daily detailed check-ins with lots of pics and info on how the boys were, as well as any details about the house like packages arriving or plants needing a water. One of our cats is very shy around strangers but Alex somehow managed a miracle and made fast friends with him! We've had mixed experiences in the past with other cat sitters, so it was such a relief to get timely updates and the knowledge that the cats were clearly very happy and relaxed. I'm an animal carer first and foremost - I take my duty of care towards animals incredibly seriously which is why I have comprehensive pet first aid training and am continuously improving my skills and knowledge to provide the best care possible.
Having worked near exclusively with more 'difficult' dogs, I understand just how important it is that they receive the same opportunity for care and enrichment as dogs with good recall and social skills. My walks are single household, and my expectation is that your dog will behave like a dog, not a robot! They will always be treated with so much patience and love, because I understand they aren't 'bad' dogs for being curious or impulsive.
I'm experienced with all kinds of pets, including small mammals and tortoises. (My absolute favourites are shy cats who take a while to win over.) I'm committed to continuous education and improvement and I ensure I comply with all registration and privacy requirements.
Because I'm independent, what you see is what you pay - there's no hidden charges or VAT, everything is upfront, and you can cancel or re-book up to 7 days before the house sits or 48 hours before drop-ins or walks with no extra fees.
Plus, I'll never charge for meet and greets, meaning there's no obligation to choose me until you're sure we're a good fit.
